Miguel Nussbaum Voehl

Miguel Nussbaum, Doktor der Technischen Wissenschaften, ‘Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule’ (ETHZ), 1988, is full professor for Computer Science at the School of Engineering of the Pontificia Universidad Catolica Chile. His research is focused in how to transform the classroom experience from the classical teacher oriented to one where students are active learners with projects in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Guatemala, India, United Kingdom and the United States, and are endorsed by UNESCO. He has published almost 60 journal papers of the ISI catalogue and won the best conference paper award at CSCL 2009.
Thomas C. Reeves
Thomas C. Reeves, Professor Emeritus of Learning, Design, and Technology at The University of Georgia, has designed, developed and evaluated numerous interactive learning programs for education, training, and performance support.
Professor Reeves’ current research interests include:
- evaluation of instructional technology for education and training,
- authentic tasks for online and blended learning,
- socially responsible research goals and methods in education, and
- applications of instructional technology in developing countries.
Ellen L. Usher
Ellen L. Usher is an assistant professor at the University of Kentucky, in Lexington, Kentucky, USA. She received her PhD in Educational Studies from Emory University in 2007. Her research focuses on the sources and effects of beliefs of personal and collective efficacy from the perspective of social cognitive theory. She is the research director of the P20 Motivation and Learning Lab (http://p20motivationlab.org), which focuses on motivation in a variety of contexts across the educational spectrum with the aim of identifying practices that best promote and sustain the motivation teachers, learners, and leaders need for success and well-being in the 21st century. Professor Usher teaches courses in educational psychology, learning theories, and motivation. Prior to her graduate studies, she was a teacher in Atlanta, Georgia. Jayson W. Richardson
Jayson Richardson is an assistant professor in the Department of Educational Leadership Studies at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky USA. He earned his Ph.D. in Educational Policy and Administration with a focus on comparative and international development education from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in 2007. His research and teaching focus on how digital technologies can be used across the globe to create opportunities for individuals and to increase intercultural understanding between individuals. He currently teaches educational leadership, emerging technologies, and technology leadership at the graduate level. Professor Richardson is the Associate Director of the Center for the Advanced Study of Technology in Education.
Tim Unwin
Tim Unwin (born 1955) is Chair of the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK, UNESCO Chair in ICT4D, Director of the ICT4D Collective and Professor of Geography at Royal Holloway, University of London. His research has taken him to some 25 countries across the world, from Estonia to Sierra Leone, and Ethiopia to Singapore, and he has worked on subjects as diverse as the role of banknotes as expressions of national identity, and the historical-geography of viticulture and the wine trade. Over the last decade his research has concentrated on information and communication technologies for development (ICT4D), focusing especially on the use of ICTs to support people with disabilities, and to empower out of school youth. His latest collaborative book, entitled simply ICT4D, was published by Cambridge University Press in 2009. He also serves as Academic Advisor and External Examiner for the Institute of Masters of Wine
